JGA offers comprehensive, multi-modal hazardous materials / dangerous goods training designed to meet the mandatory training requirements for individuals involved in the transportation of hazmat / DG, in accordance with Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations (49CFR), Part 172, Subpart H and/or international regulations. Our intuitive training courses cover ground, air, vessel, and military airlift transportation requirements, giving your team the knowledge and skills to prepare, offer for transport, and transport hazardous materials / dangerous goods.
JGA training courses review the necessary regulatory information to comply with U.S. DOT, ICAO / IATA, IMO, and AFMAN 24-604 requirements, as well as other industry standards and best practices. Regulatory compliance does not end when the course finishes. Our initial training courses are designed for beginners requiring a detailed step-by step of the requirements to safely prepare and offer a hazmat shipment into transportation that is compliant. It also covers the fundamentals, such as the general, safety and security awareness requirements. Through these initial training courses, students will learn to how to confidently navigate the regulations, identify and classify hazardous material / dangerous goods, select and prepare authorized packaging, mark and label packages, as well as correctly document and certify hazardous material / dangerous goods shipment. Experienced employees seeking recurrent students are also welcome to refresh their skills.
Our recurrent training courses provide a comprehensive review of the steps required to prepare and offer hazardous material / dangerous goods shipments into transportation. This curriculum focuses on recent regulatory updates, proposed rule changes, and detailed regulatory compliance requirements. This class is strictly designed for experienced participants who regularly handle hazmat/DG shipments, are familiar and comfortable with the regulations, and require recertification training.
